As one of the critical parts of human activity, music has been evolving through millennia. At the same time, it was the unceasing mirror and the powerful tool of people’s process of creating society. This has been proved time and again, starting from the early forms of music to the latest music styles: Music history and its social function reveal musical tones’ and peoples’ mutual indispensability.

The Evolution of Music

Arab civilizations came into different music genres from ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Greece, and China, among others, and most of their tunes were more especially linked to the religious ceremonial symbols of the Local Arabs.

Then there was the period of Organ music, which gradually evolved further during the Medieval period and was finally made more official by the church. There are usages like the Gregorian chants and the operation that use syllabication as a way of notating and the notation systems to ensure that the musical ideas are recorded and well understood.
